Here and Now — A Friendzy

I don't know about you, but lately I've been bored by the redundancy of friending memes. It feels like I'm always being asked the same things — favourite books/movies/games/fandoms, things I post about, things I look for in friends... This is all well and good, I don't have anything against those questions — I've found so many good LJ-friends through them, why would I? — but I find myself hoping to be asked something new at every friendzy I participate in.
And then I thought, why not organize one myself?
So here I am, with an attempt at an original friending meme! Share, comment, find friends, you know the drill!

Currently, what are you...
... Reading? As usual I am reading too many at once. I am loving a book about Flora found in Norway, with x-ray photos of the plants and history/fun facts about them. IThe second sex by Siome de Beauvoir is a book I have been reading for a while, but it's slow going. I am also reading a wonderful poetry collection by Wislawa Szymborska.
... Watching? TV: I am not watching a lot at the moment. I am trying to drag out my watching of Our flag means death, but I know I will finish this weekend. I plan on watching the second season of We're here. I recently finished seson 6 of Shetland, an emotional ride. YT: Other minds and hands: an open and friendly discussion of Tolkien adaption.
... Listening to? I listen to a bit of everything really, music-wise, and I am listening to the audiobook Botanical folk tales of Britain and Ireland at the moment. I also listen to podcasts from time to, mostly history-related.
... Playing? I am not a gamer, but I do enjoy boardgames, Wingspan is a favourite at the moment.
... Working on (job-wise and/or leisure-wise)? I work as a teacher and that means marking. In my spare time I write, and I am working on a short story which migh grow and short prose and poetry for the most part. I also like to be out in nature with my camera.
... Looking forward to? Seeing Queen live in some months, just enjoying spring, summer break.
... Worried/concerned/annoyed about? The state of the world with wars and a reverse of many human rights.

I usually post quite a few times over the course of a week. I have monthy posts where I talk of book, fandom (what I have enjoyed watching), dwellpositivty (posts with quotes and links to art/photographs of beautiful things) and a hobby post where I post photos I have taken and talk of other hobbies. I also talk about my life in general.

I just finished Our Flag Means Death and it is so so good. I am going to rewatch it while I still have HBO.
