I don't know about you, but lately I've been bored by the redundancy of friending memes. It feels like I'm always being asked the same things — favourite books/movies/games/fandoms, things I post about, things I look for in friends... This is all well and good, I don't have anything against those questions — I've found so many good LJ-friends through them, why would I? — but I find myself hoping to be asked something new at every friendzy I participate in.
And then I thought, why not organize one myself?

... Listening to? I'm a huge music lover and I usually have jazz on or Tori Amos, Vienna Teng, The Head and the Heart, Melodime, Great Big Sea (and its solo members), The Lumineers, the Decemberists ... I can go on lol

... Working on (job-wise and/or leisure-wise)? I'm a nanny, about to become a kindergarten aide for the next school year. I work with a 9 month old sweet boy whom I love, but I need a change.
... Looking forward to? My wedding in less than 6 months!
... Worried/concerned/annoyed about? COVID, the Russian-Ukraine war, my current bosses

What were your last three LJ entries about and when did you post them? They were a mishmash of my life right now, and I posted them this week and last week

Anything else? I'm queer and marrying a woman. If this isn't your thing, please pass me by. I'm also Indigenous, and talk about that sometimes - it's an important part of who I am. I like people who comment at least sometimes, and I also try to comment as much as I can on my friends' entries. I prefer people who are active on their journals at least a few times a month.

What are your thoughts on Inventing Anna? I haven't seen it yet, because it didn't look as diverse as other Shondaland shows, but maybe the trailer I saw misrepresented the show.

I found it fascinating! The leads are white, but there actually are quite a few POC in main roles which I appreciated, and they're given adequate airtime. It's not as diverse as say, HTGAWM, but I would say it still fits well into her style.
