If you don't mind making a huge mess for sometimes mediocre and sometimes spectacular results, try marbling Easter eggs. There are a variety of kits, and they're probably on sale this time of year. Or you can do your own.

It seems that progressive politics can go in many different directions, but regressive politics tend to converge as people hate many of the same things. Different colonial dynamics can create very different fracture patterns too.
